720° a Panelist at IFMA’s BMI of the Workplace in NYC

BMI of the Workplace is part of a series of events organised by International Facility Management Association (IFMA) in New York City, aiming to promote the importance of health & wellbeing in the industry. The event opened with 3-30-300 rule, highlighting significant difference in national average costs:

  • $3 per square foot for utility costs
  • $30 per square foot for real estate costs
  • $300 per square foot for personnel costs

After opening with the aforementioned difference in cost, the discussion then covered the role of facility management and its impact on personnel costs. The discussion then touched on the latest research on health & wellbeing at work, indoor environmental quality of workplaces, and case studies of newest practices. George Brennan, Sustainability Chairman of IFMA NYC,  led the conversation accompanied by the following panelists:

  • William Plunkett, CBRE
  • Mike Parent, Exos
  • Tomas Novotny, 720 Degrees

The event drew a diverse crowd of experienced facility managers from New York’s leading corporations together with many other facility management professionals and researchers.
